S3C Historical Notifications Manager (HNM)
Enables Network Operations teams to visualize Smarts/Ionix ITOI historical fault notifications i.e. once they have become inactive and are no longer visible within the SAM global operator console having been auto-archived by Smarts.
This activity can be performed ‘on demand’ without the reliance on highly skilled administrative personnel. Using the intuitive S3C GUI, Operators can easily construct complex search patterns to create summary reports of Smarts historical notifications, and view full audit trails of all Smarts notifications.

S3C Discovery Enhancement Manager (DEM)
A value-add enhancement for EMC Smarts/Ionix ITOI™ that reduces unnecessary network rediscovery and optimises overall system performance.
S3c DEM undertakes its own light-weight, intelligent polling in order to determine whether a full Smarts device rediscovery is required. In large and dynamic networks, the use of S3c DEM significantly boosts Smarts system performance, reduces network loading and improves the accuracy of Smarts root cause analysis.
Using its intuitive web-based GUI, S3c DEM allows authorized network operations to selectively place target devices directly onto the SMARTS 'discovery pending' queue to rediscover devices individually, as a group or in bulk using ‘batch mode’.
The specific time at which the Smarts pending queue is populated can be set to coincide with the device maintenance window. Alignment with approval windows and change control mechanisms is also facilitated. S3C DEM mitigates IP Availability Manager’s dependency on SNMP trap receipt and is tightly integrated with the core S3C foundation workflow engine.

S3c Device Lifecycle Manager (DLM)
A value-add enhancement for EMC Smarts/Ionix ITOI™ that provides true operational lifecycle management for network devices.
Using its intuitive web-based GUI, S3C DLM allows operations staff to simply and temporarily place a device into a state of operational ‘maintenance’, thus masking or suppressing alarms from appearing in Smarts operator consoles.
S3C DLM combines a dedicated workflow engine and information repository for modelling the true operational status of devices, together with out of the box integration with Smarts/Ionix ITOI Service Assurance Manager (SAM) and a variety of device provisioning systems and databases.
